Chỉ is 44 years old and she is married, with two children. She is the leader of an eight-member group, the Chỉ's Solidarity Group. Chỉ supports two dependents with her business in Thieu Hoa district, a rural town in Thanh Hoa province.

Chỉ has been involved in this business for more than ten years. One of the most critical business difficulties that concerns her is the lack of capital.
With her business profit, Chỉ hopes to make enough money to provide for her children, for her business to do well, and to be able to buy more supplies and equipment for her business.
