The communal bank "Mujeres Progresivas" [Progressive Women] will be starting their fourth loan cycle with Pro Mujer, through the Panamerica regional office. They are a group of nine members run by a board of directors, of which Celia is the President. The businesses of the members are varied, and include selling food, selling construction materials, selling coffee, assisting with construction, and a ceramics shop.

The loan they will take out will benefit small microentrepreneurs, including Celia. This is her fifth year as a member with Pro Mujer. She joined at the invitation of a friend who works with the institution. Currently she has a business sewing jackets: she explains that she began this business after a job that she had, where she learned sewing techniques, and with capital she had gotten together, she decided to start her business.

The loan she will take out now is to increase her capital to buy fabric wholesale, which she will acquire in the stores of distributors in the city of El Alto. After sewing it, she will sell it in her place of sale. This way of working allows her to make an income to support her family, as she is married and has four children.

When asked what she likes about Pro Mujer, Celia said that she likes the training sessions in credit and health that the institution offers.

La A.C. “MUJERES PROGRESIVAS” iniciará el cuarto ciclo en Pro Mujer, como parte del Centro Focal de Panamericana, está compuesta por nueve integrantes y está dirigida por una mesa directiva donde la señora Celia es la Presidenta. Los negocios que las integrantes de la asociación comunal llevan adelante son variados entre ellos existen: venta de comida, venta de material de construcción, venta de calzas, venta de café, ayudante de construcción, tienda de cerámica.

El crédito que sacaran beneficiara a pequeñas microempresarias donde la señora Celia es integrante, ella indica que es el quinto año que integra Pro Mujer, ingresando por la invitación de una amiga que es socia de la institución. En la actualidad ella tiene un negocio de costura de chamarras; da a conocer que este negocio lo emprendió posterior a un trabajo que tenía, donde aprendido la técnica de costura, con un capital formado decide emprender su negocio.
El crédito que ahora sacará es para el aumento de capital (compra de tela por mayor) que adquirirá en las tiendas distribuidoras de la ciudad de El Alto y posteriormente a la elaboración lo comercializará en su espacio de venta. Esta forma de trabajo le permite generar recursos para mantener a su familia ya que ella esta casada y tiene cuatro hijos.

Cuando se le consulta qué le gusta de Pro Mujer, ella responde que le las capacitaciones en crédito y salud que le ofrece la institución.
