Edilberto is 50 years old. He is married and blessed with three children. His wife works as businesswoman, which helps him with the household expenses.
Edilberto provides transportation services in his community, and he earns well from this, their main source of income. He has been running this business for more than nine years. He also has a farm, and he delegates his tenants to oversee the fields where he has his crops. When he finishes his work, he comes to help them on the farm.
Edilberto is requesting this loan from GDMPC to buy new tires for the vehicle and pay for maintenance costs. In the future, he wants to give his family a better future.
Gata Daku Multi-Purpose Cooperative (GDMPC) was founded in 1992 by 32 farmer-members to empower people by providing livelihood opportunities and other support services. Today, it has over 15,000 members located in upland, lowland and coastal regions of the Philippines, and offers credit, savings, education, and various social services.
