Arnaldo makes a living in agriculture, particularly in cultivating Catimor coffee. He also raises cattle. His wife supports him in this work by milking the cows so that they may sell fresh milk and cheese.

He has requested a loan for 3,000 soles, which he will use to pay for his coffee crop maintenance. This will allow him to generate greater income for his family.

Arnaldo tiene 22 años de edad, vive en el Caserío El Tambillo, una zona rural del distrito de Santo Tomás, una comunidad de clima variado, con abundantes bosques, su población se dedica a a la agricultura, comercio y ganadería, ubicada en la Provincia de Cutervo que pertenece a la Región Cajamarca, sierra norte del Perú.


El se dedica a la agricultura, especialmente al cultivo de café de la variedad catimor, también se dedica a la crianza de ganado vacuno, su esposa le apoya en esta labor ordeñando al ganado lechero para posteriormente vender la leche fresca quesillos que elabora artesanalmente, ha solicitado un préstamo de 3 000 nuevos soles para el pago de mantenimiento de su cultivo de cafeto y de esta manera generar mayores ingresos para su familia.

This product was created to assist Edpyme Alternativa to expand their reach into rural areas of Northern Peru in order to attend more underserved populations. Kiva funding allows the institution to access the Northern areas of the Piura, Lambayeque, and Cajamarca regions, which are generally too costly to serve and therefore less attended by financial institutions.
