Zainab is a married woman with five school-going children. She owns a house that has neither electricity nor piped water. Her greatest monthly expenses are food and school fees.
Zainab operates a food making business making comestibles like beans and chapatis (flat bread) for sale to passersby and neighbours.
With the loan, she wants to purchase food items like wheat flour, cooking oil, sugar, beans and utensils. She dreams of expanding her business to earn more income and to establish a restaurant in the near future.
