Astghik is married and from Khashtarak village. The couple runs a farm which includes cows, calves, and chickens. Astghik also cultivates potatoes for family use only. Astghik milk cows and uses the milk in cheese production, which her husband sells in nearby markets.

Astghik requested a loan, which she will use to purchase three more calves and forage for feeding them. As this is Astghik's first loan, it has been approved within the framework of the new joint initiative between Kiva and SEF. The first-chance loan program provides loans to people who did not have access to credit products in the past because they have no credit history. She will be very grateful if lenders support her farm and give her an opportunity to enlarge agricultural turnover.
