Becoming a computer engineer has always been Daira's dream. Daira is currently attending the Universidad Autónoma Juan Misael Saracho, working towards her degree in computer engineering. She plans on graduating in April 2014, but without a loan from Vittana, she thinks that she may need to take time off to work and save until she can return to school. Daira plans on using the funds from this loan to pay her graduation fee. This fee is often more expensive than the semester's tuition and is a frequent impediment for graduating students in Tarija.
With a degree in computer engineering, Daira expects to earn $30 a day. Daira hopes to be a role model for her younger brother by being the first in her family to graduate from university.
