Naseem
Naseem is a 47-year-old married woman. Her husband is a laborer. It was very tough for Naseem to manage her household needs with the small income of her husband. Therefore she decided to help her husband in earning. For this purpose she started her business selling ready-made garments, as she purchases a variety of clothes in different sizes and colors from the wholesale market and sells in her area. By this time she has attained a good number of customers. She has a varied customer base and is able to earn enough through her business. Currently Naseem is requesting a 40,000 PKR loan from the Kashf Foundation to buy a wide variety of clothes in different sizes and designs to attract more customers and expand her inventory. She expects a boost in her earnings with her loan and she plans to spend part of her profits for the betterment of her family members.

Kashf Foundation is one of the leading microfinance providers in Pakistan, focused on expanding financial access for poor women across the country. This group includes clients, their husbands and adolescent boys in their communities.

Over the past 16 years, Kashf has disbursed an estimated 2 million loans. Today, it operates in 16 districts in Punjab province and 1 district in Sindh province through a network of 157 branches. It plans to open 19 new branches to cover all four of Pakistan’s provinces.
