Twenty years ago in Ghana, Nafisatu began sewing clothes for her children as a hobby. But when Nafisatu immigrated to the United States in 2002, she was faced with the question of how to provide for her children while overcoming the language barrier. She turned her hobby into a business and began making clothes to showcase at local African markets and salons.
Nafisatu’s clientele has increased over the years and she is now able to provide for her family while doing what she loves, using a trade and style that she learned in her home country. She hopes to one day move her business out of her home and into her own storefront.
With this loan, Nafisatu will increase her supply of materials to create a larger inventory of fashionable merchandise. Help this mother provide for her children and reach her dreams of owning her own storefront!
