More information about this loan

This loan is designed to provide low-income families in rural Cambodia with clean and safe alternative energy sources. Currently, less than 30% of the Cambodian population has access to electricity, and those that do pay some of the highest costs in the world.
With this loan product, borrowers are able to purchase one of several Solar Home Systems (SHS), allowing them to meet their household’s energy needs more efficiently and cheaply. Once installed, Maxima's partners provide clients with ongoing support and training to maintain their new system.
Loan terms and amounts vary according to both the pricing of the chosen SHS and the borrower’s income. In addition to this, certain loans are issued with a grace period in order to allow clients to begin saving before starting their repayments. By funding this loan, you are helping an underserved household to reduce its energy expenses while also promoting the use of environmentally friendly alternatives in Cambodia.
