01.04 02 Đông Sơn Group's story

Mrs. Thu has a retail business selling dried food and is requesting a loan to buy rice to resell. She is 54 years old, married and the mother of two children. She also leads a loan group called the 01.04.02 Đông Sơn Solidarity Group, which consists of five members. She lives and works in Thanh Hoa city, a urban area in Thanh Hoa province, and has one dependent as her older child is grown. In 2010, Thu joined the Thanh Hoa Fund for Poor Women to improve her business. Thu has successfully repaid four previous loans from our organization and has been in her line of work for five years. One of her main challenges is a lack of capital. With the profits she earns from her business, she is committed to help her family be healthy and happy, for her business to do well, and for her children to find good jobs.
