Haleema
Haleema is a 44-year-old, married woman. She has been doing business, selling milk, for the past 15 years.

She has two calves and one buffalo in milk. She sells milk to many of her neighbors, along with butter that she makes from the milk. Her business is good enough to help her lead her decent life.

Haleema has four children. She is very motivated to provide them with a beautiful life, with good education, food, and clothing. She has improved her business to meet the day-to-day expenses of life.

It’s Haleema's third year with Kashf Foundation. She is happily running her business through support of it. Now she has requested a loan of PKR 40,000 to purchase one cow. She hopes to have an increase in the production capacity of milk which, ultimately, helps in generating more cash.

About Kashf Foundation

Kashf Foundation is one of the leading microfinance providers in Pakistan, focused on expanding financial access for poor women across the country. The organization’s economic empowerment program has grown from 913 clients in 1999 to 284,653 clients as of May 2012, with a current outstanding portfolio of US$32 million.

Over the past 16 years, Kashf has disbursed an estimated 2 million loans. Today, it operates in 16 districts in Punjab province and 1 district in Sindh province through a network of 157 branches. It plans to open 19 new branches to cover all four of Pakistan’s provinces.
