Familia T´siseje Group
In this Group: Maria Del Refugio, J. Concepcion, Nancy Yemima
Familia T’Siseje is made up of three members who are related. They live in the community of Mazahua. The majority of the people still speak their maternal language, and all the people are very friendly. Ms. Refugio is the group's representative and says that she chose the name herself because T’ Siseje means little star in Mazahua. Ms. Refugio is 52 years old and has been married to Mr. Concepción for many years. They no longer have any dependent children. The group's three members are Nancy, Concepción and Refugio. They will invest the loan in the fees for plates for their taxis or in whatever the taxis need. They started their business a short time ago: Ms. Refugio previously had a workshop, but unfortunately, she had to leave it because she had other activities. Her husband has always worked in taxis, so Ms. Refugio decided to invest in the fee for plates because she knows it is a good business and has good earnings. The only difficulty they face in their business is when the payment for their taxi fees is not on time. The three members are content and grateful to Kiva and Vision Fund for the authorized loan. With the loans, they will be able to achieve their dreams: to stop requesting loans from microfinancers and to be able to start a new business.

Additional Information

This is a Group Loan

In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a larger group of individuals. The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee. In cases where there is a group guarantee, members of the group are responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members in the case of delinquency or default.

Kiva's Field Partners typically feature one borrower from a group. The loan description, sector, and other attributes for a group loan profile are determined by the featured borrower's loan. The other members of the group are not required to use their loans for the same purpose.
