Delphine and her husband jointly ensure that the diverse family expenses are covered. To do so, she has been hawking products (cookies, soap, honey, and dried yams) for twelve years. She gets her supplies from a market in Benin. With the goal of bolstering her business and satisfying customer demands, Delphine, along with the other members of her group, is requesting financial support from ALIDé for the first time.

Ce groupe est un composé de trois personnes qui résident dans le même quartier. La représentante du groupe, Delphine(celle qui a la main levée sur la photo),âgée de 34 ans a très peu fréquenté l’école. C’est la première fois que Delphine sollicite l’appui financier de ALIDé. Delphine est mariée à un revendeur du nom de Léandre. Le couple a trois enfants, scolarisés et à leur charge. Delphine vit ensemble avec son mari et ses enfants. Delphine et son mari assurent ensemble les diverses charges familiales. Pour ce faire, Delphine vend divers produits(des biscuits, du savon, du miel et de l'igname séché de façon ambulante depuis douze ans. Delphine s’approvisionne dans un marché du Bénin. Dans le but de renforcer son activité et de satisfaire la demande de sa clientèle, Delphine ensemble avec les membres de son groupe sollicitent pour la première fois l’appui financier de ALIDé.

About Alidé

Alidé is a Beninese NGO that works to reduce poverty by offering sustainable access to productive loans like this one in addition to savings, training sessions, and social work to low-income families.

Supporters of this loan should be aware that there is some risk of being repaid late. Because the Beninois Ministry of Finance has imposed restrictions on the amount of money Alidé can send to Kiva, the organization can only send monthly repayments in installments smaller than $13,000. This means that some Kiva lenders may receive their repayments late. However, Alidé remains a healthy institution in good standing with its creditors, and Kiva would like to continue working to support its clients. This is a Group Loan
