Hanča, born in 1954, lives with her husband, a painter, in the village of Omazići near Banovići. Hanča, as almost every woman in a village, does much in her garden, field and home. She produces vegetables for her own use and has a cow whose milk she both sells and uses for home consumption. As well, she has a few chickens and now wishes to begin raising poultry.

Hanča’s husband helps her in his free time with all things and the request for a loan of $725 was a joint decision. Hanča will use this amount to buy poultry and poultry feed, with the ultimate goal of raising the family income through the establishment and expansion of a poultry farm.
