Sam At
Sam At is 42 years old, married and lives in Cheung Prey, Batheay, Kampong Cham province. She is a widow now and has three children who are living with her. Sam At is the only breadwinner of her family. She is engaged in farming and works as a day laborer for additional income, and she spends the remaining time of the year working in a garment factory.

One of her children just finished high school and wanted to continue his education in the field of architecture and civil engineering. Due to the family’s financial shortage, Sam At is experiencing difficulties to pay for her son’s tuition fees, so she is asking for a loan to help her cover the costs of his studies and to buy the materials needed to support her son's education. Sam At is very happy and thankful for the loan funded via the program Kiva that allows poor students to pursue a higher level of education while contributing to the future development of Cambodia.
