Medina is married with one child. She operates a piggery with the help of her husband to earn a living. They have run this business for more than five years and earn well for the family. Medina is determined to send her child to school and provide a better education and because of this, she works with love and never gets tired of working. She has borrowed a loan from GDMPC microcredit to purchase feed. In the future, she wants to build a concrete home for her family.
Gata Daku Multi-Purpose Cooperative (GDMPC) was founded in 1992 by 32 farmer-members to empower people by providing livelihood opportunities and other support services. Today, it has over 15,000 members located in upland, lowland and coastal regions of the Philippines, and offers credit, savings, education, and various social services.
