Junard is single and is a teacher who operates a part-time service-based business providing transportation in his community to make a living. When he has his duty in school, his tenants operate his motorcycle and he earns extra income from it.
He has taken a loan from GDMPC microcredit to pay the hospitalization cost from when he was previously admitted to the hospital. He plans to improve his business by getting another motorcycle for rental and transportation services. In the future, Junard want to improve the general living situation of his entire family.
Gata Daku Multi-Purpose Cooperative (GDMPC) was founded in 1992 by 32 farmer-members to empower people by providing livelihood opportunities and other support services. Today, it has over 15,000 members located in upland, lowland and coastal regions of the Philippines, and offers credit, savings, education, and various social services.
