Husna is a married woman who has been blessed with two schoolgoing children. She lives at her own house that has electricity and not piped water. Her greatest monthly expenses are food and school fees.
Husna has operated a charcoal-selling business, selling from home to her neighbors and villagers. Her greatest monthly challenge is high cost of transportation.
She is requesting for a loan of KES 20,000 to purchase charcoal for resale. She joined Yehu to get financial support.
About Yehu Microfinance Trust
This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
