She says that she has been involved with Pro Mujer for 7 years following the invitation of a Pro Mujer worker who visited her at her home. Currently, she has a business spinning vicuña wool. She learned this trade by observing her sister work. After learning how to do it herself, she decided to start her own business.

The loan that she is asking for will be used to increase her working capital by buying vicuña wool wholesale. She will buy the wool from La Paz suppliers and then sell it according to the demand of her customers. By working in this way, she can make income to support her family. She is married by common law and has one son.

When asked what she likes about Pro Mujer, she says that she likes the health benefits, the training, and the loans that the group offers.

La A.C. “10 ESTRELLAS DEL NORTE” iniciará el cuarto ciclo en Pro Mujer, como parte del Centro Focal de Alto Lima, está compuesta por ocho integrantes y está dirigida por una mesa directiva donde la señora Lidia es la Presidenta. Los negocios que las integrantes de la asociación comunal llevan adelante son variados entre ellos existen: hilado de lana, elaboración de cotillones, tienda de barrio, elaboración de empanadas y masitas, panadería, hilado de lana de vicuña, tejido de prendas de alpaca.

El crédito que sacaran beneficiara a pequeñas microempresarias donde la señora Lidia es integrante, ella indica que hace siete años que integra Pro Mujer, ingresando por la invitación de una promotora de la institución que fue a visitarle a su casa. En la actualidad ella tiene un negocio de hilado de lana de vicuña; da a conocer que este negocio lo emprendió al observar el trabajo de su hermana, que también realiza los mismos productos, ya conocida la técnica del hilado decide establecer su propio negocio.

El crédito que ahora sacará es para el aumento de capital (compra de lana de vicuña por mayor) que adquirirá de las fábricas de La Paz y posteriormente lo comercializará a pedido del cliente. Esta forma de trabajo le permite generar recursos para mantener a su familia ya que ella vive en unión libre y tiene un hijo.

Cuando se le consulta qué le gusta de Pro Mujer, ella responde que le gusta el área de salud, capacitación y crédito que le ofrece la institución.
