Chantha is a mother of three who is from Ou Reang Ov district, Kampong Cham province. She is 57 years old. She has been involved in a rice-farming business for more than 30 years, and this is the only business her family relies on.
This is the third loan that Chantha received from VisionFund Cambodia. The previous two loans enabled Chantha to get necessary home appliances for the family. This third loan allows Chantha to get a decent motorbike for the family to conveniently get to the rice field.
About VisionFund Cambodia
VisionFund Cambodia is a Christian organization and microfinance institution that provides small loans and other financial services to improve the lives of children, empower poor women and their families, and grow successful businesses. The organization works primarily in rural parts of Cambodia and has distinguished itself by targeting the very poor who require smaller loan sizes, regardless of religious beliefs, gender or ethnic background.
Kiva lenders’ funds will help the organization to expand into the northeastern provinces of the country, which have historically been underserved and difficult to reach with financial services.
