Vat, 69, lives in Ang village, which is in Cheung Pey, Kampong Cham province. He has three children who are married and live independent lives.

Vat has been a farmer for over thirty years. He and his wife manage a hectare and a half of farmland upon which they grow rice. He spends long hours every day taking care of his fields and the remaining time with his family. From his farm he is able to derive approximately 3.10 USD a day.

One of Vat’s children is a construction worker. He is having trouble at his job due to the lack of needed materials and tools. Being a responsible father and caring about his children, Vat is asking for a 1,000 USD loan to buy these for his son. This loan will be a huge support for Vat and his children.
