A loan of $550 helped to buy soil amendments for his lime crop.

Josias's story

Josías, 32, lives with his wife and children in the hamlet of Piquijaca, a rural area of San Felipe, located in the province of Jaén in the Cajamarca region of the northern highlands of Peru. The residents work in agriculture, commerce, and ranching.

Josías has worked in agriculture for 10 years, mainly growing limes. He plants approximately one hectare of fruit on his farm. He harvests monthly and sells to area residents who then sell the fruit in markets in the city of Chiclayo.

Josías has asked Edpyme Alternativa for a loan for 1,500 nuevos soles [PEN] to buy soil amendments for his lime crop. That way he'll have a good harvest to sell to his customers.
