Natalia is a strong, enterprising and determined woman. She is married and is the mother of two children whom she fights tirelessly for to get ahead.
During her productive life she’s worked as a sales clerk and production assistant at different bakeries. Natalia es una mujer pujante, emprendedora y perseverante, casada y madre de dos hijos por quienes lucha incansablemente para sacarlos adelante.
Durante su vida productiva se ha dedicado a trabajar como vendedora de mostrador y auxiliar de producción en diferentes panaderías, luego comenzó su propio negocio en compañía de su esposo, produciendo panes al por mayor para distribuirlos entre las diferentes tiendas, chazas y cafeterías de la zona pero, hace aproximadamente 1 año el negocio decayó, pues su esposo tuvo un grave accidente que comprometió sus extremidades superiores e inferiores; por ello Natalia se vio obligada a trabajar como empleada doméstica para generar los ingresos necesarios para sobrevivir con su familia.
Actualmente solicita el apoyo del crédito pues desea reiniciar su negocio, con el dinero comprará insumos al por mayor (harina, levadura, margarina, huevos) y realizará una adecuación en el espacio de trabajo, así tendrá la posibilidad de comenzar a generar ingresos más estables y así podrá solventar los gastos básicos del hogar.
Natalia manifiesta que su mayor anhelo es lograr posicionar nuevamente su producto en el mercado y que su negocio crezca y le garantice una estabilidad económica favorable para mejorar las condiciones de vida y el bienestar de su grupo familiar.

This loan is designed for an entrepreneur who needs working capital to start a brand new business. Along with the loan, Kiva's field partner Interactuar provides counseling, training courses, and other financial resources to help new, riskier entrepreneurs set up young businesses.

Important Information

This loan is structured on Kiva as a bullet loan, which means a single payment is required at the end of the loan term. By Colombian law, Kiva's partner Interactuar is required to offer borrowers loans with a variable interest rate that fluctuates with the market rate. Because fixed monthly payments are applied first to interest and then to principal, Interactuar is unable to predict upfront what portion of each repayment would go towards the loan principal. This creates a challenge with Kiva's system, which doesn't allow for unpredictable principal payments, and can result in some Interactuar clients appearing falsely delinquent. To remedy this, the loan has an end-of-term repayment plan on Kiva, but the borrower will continue scheduled monthly repayments to Interactuar, who will then pass along the principal amount to Kiva lenders. This means that you may see repayments made on this loan throughout the repayment term, as opposed to receiving repayment in full at the end of the loan term.
