Desde hace más de 12 años vive en San Lorenzo, Amparo, ella tiene 51 años es casada vive con su esposo, 4 hijos y 2 nietos. Ella se dedica al cuidado de su familia y a su negocio (tienda de arroz azucar, aceite pollo, carne, platano).
Su esposo le ayuda diariamente con las ventas y con el cuidado de sus nietos.
Amparo, es una mujer impulsadora, optimista y emprendedora, con este préstamo, comprará más arroz, azúcar, aceites y productos lácteos para surtir más su despensa.
Su familia goza de buena salud y los más chicos asisten a clases, Amparo está muy orgullosa de sí misma porque ha podido atender a su familia y ofrecerle días mejores, gracias al apoyo de Fodemi y a quienes sin conocerles nos prestan su dinero para poder trabajar.

This region generally lacks access to financial services and is populated by many Colombian refugees seeking asylum from guerrilla warfare. This loan is designed to help these vulnerable populations improve their lives and set up sustainable businesses.

About FODEMI, a partner of World Vision International

FODEMI is a microenterprise development fund that supports groups of entrepreneurs who lack access to formal financial systems. The organization works with vulnerable populations, especially women, in the marginalized urban and rural sectors of Ecuador. Its clients work in a variety of sectors including agriculture, artisan crafts and the commercial and service sectors. Kiva lenders’ funds are used to expand the organization’s services to the poor living in more rural parts of Ecuador.
