The Kuarahy Rese group formed with the union of friends and neighbors of the city of Itá. They are in their 8th cycle of the program committee, where they all work and help each other to improve, through their strength and continuous work in the group.

Señora Lilian is the president of this group, and since its inception has always tried to motivate her fellow members to continue fighting to be able to improve their lives. She sells various foods, which with many sacrifices she is able to sell as a street vendor. She states that she begins every day in the early morning hours, at which point she starts to make her food. Her dream is to have a large store and from there sell her delicacies.

She asks this loan to buy raw materials for her food, such as meat, spices, breads, vegetables, and more, and is grateful for this opportunity she is receiving.

This is a Group Loan

In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a larger group of individuals. The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee. In cases where there is a group guarantee, members of the group are responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members in the case of delinquency or default.

Kiva's Field Partners typically feature one borrower from a group. The loan description, sector, and other attributes for a group loan profile are determined by the featured borrower's loan. The other members of the group are not required to use their loans for the same purpose.
