Fred is 38 years old and lives in the town of Kasangati in the Kampala region of Uganda. He is married and has three children who are all currently in school. For the past four years, Fred has been working hard to manage his poultry business; he rears chickens.
To help expand his business, Fred has requested a loan of 3,000,000 Ugandan Shillings from BRAC Uganda. The loan will be used to buy chicken feed, more birds, and construct a hen house, and will help Fred to generate greater profits and improve the business. Fred hopes that in the future he will be able to own a big business.
