María Concepción
María, 30, studied for a degree in secretarial studies, but she said her economic situation no longer allows her to go on to the university. She's married and her husband's a waiter in a hotel. They have just one child who's a year old.

María handles the household chores at home and takes care of her son, who needs a lot of attention. She has done this work since she was young because it's work her mother taught her. It's very important work and she's proud she does it. Her husband always helps her with the jobs she does at home.

The loan María's requesting is to fix her house. She said it's a little run down, especially the roof. In particular, she's going to buy tiles and wood for the roof. This improvement will help her live more comfortably without any danger that the roof could cave in, which was big problem they had when it rained.

For the future she hopes to have well-being for herself and her family, a better house, and a better quality of life with her husband and their son. She wants to be a respectable person in society and keep on studying in the university. She said she'll realize this with God's help and thanks to the loan she requested as well as future loans she'll request to improve her quality of life in the future.
