The women all live in traditional families in the village of TIENCELA, in Commune de BENKO, Préfecture de Dioila, Région de Koulikoro (2nd administrative region of the Republic of Mali). They know one another through ties of kinship, community, and friendship. They do commerce in condiments, milk, and incenses.

The women of the group TIESSIRI are on their third solidarity loan. For satisfying the enormous customer demand, they turn to the microfinance institution Soro Yiriwaso. The funds will be used to purchase their merchandise as cited above.

This client, ASSAN, the person standing in the middle, did not go to school. She is currently a vendor of grains. It is a business passed down to her by her father. She intends to purchase 4 sacks of corn locally from peasant farmers of the village and then to resell the goods. Sales are made retail to a mixed customer base at her home.

She plans on making a monthly profit of 20,000 francs CFA that will in part be reinvested in her business. The rest will be for small animal husbandry.

Le groupe TIESSIRI est composé de femmes mariées elles ont en moyenne 38 ans et 4 enfants. Elles vivent toutes dans des familles traditionnelles dans le village de TIENCELA commune de BENKO préfecture de Dioila, Région de Koulikoro (deuxième région administrative de la République du Mali).
Elles se sont connues à travers des liens de parenté, de voisinage et d’amitié. Elles font le commerce céréale, de condiment, de lait et d’encens. Les femmes du groupe TIESSIRI sont à leur troisième prêt solidaire. Dans le but de satisfaire la demande énormes de la clientèle elles font recourt a SORO YIRIWASO, Ces montants seront utilisés pour acheter leurs marchandises déjà citées.
La cliente ASSAN la personne au milieu dans le rang debout n’a pas été à l’école. Elle est actuellement vendeuse de céréales, chose qu’elle a hérite de son père. Elle compte acheter 4 sacs de maïs sur place avec les paysans du village et les revendre. La vente se fait en détail chez elle à clientèle mixte. Elle compte réaliser un bénéfice mensuel de 20.000Fcfa qui sera en partie réinjecté dans l’activité et le reste dans l’élevage de petits animaux.

Soro Yiriwaso is a microfinance institution that works primarily in rural and semi-urban areas of Mali to provide underprivileged communities with access to financial services.The organization facilitates access for disadvantaged clients, particularly women, to new resources and services, fostering solidarity and cooperation among its clients. Kiva lenders’ funds will enable Soro Yiriwaso to expand its outreach and target even more underserved Malians involved in business and agriculture.
