Mida is married with two children and operates a buy and sell business to make a living. Aside from this, she also vends banana cue while her husband does a transportation services. The couple earns well from the business and it helps improve their living. Recently, she joined GDMPC and borrowed a new loan to buy additional banana and other ingredients to prepare snacks to vend. In the future, she wants to build a store to sell groceries in their village to earn more.
Gata Daku Multi-Purpose Cooperative (GDMPC) was founded in 1992 by 32 farmer-members to empower people by providing livelihood opportunities and other support services. Today, it has over 15,000 members located in upland, lowland and coastal regions of the Philippines, and offers credit, savings, education, and various social services.
