Kong K., 48, is a widow and resides with four of her children in Phnom Penh, the capital of Cambodia. Her husband died from a serious illness a few years ago and she also has a serious illness. She is taking medicine to prolong her life. Fortunately, none of her children have serious illnesses.
Kong has a business selling second-hand clothes and now she is requesting a loan of US$1000 to purchase a sewing machine so she can provide additional services and earn extra profit.
