Lida Mireya, 36, is the head of her home and has three children, Julián, Cristina Paola y Juan Felipe. She works and studies pharmacy at Campo Alto, because she enjoys everything related to health and this is a good start. She'd like to study nursing after she finishes pharmacy in order to have more knowledge and complement her profession. Also, she'd like to show her children and others that obstacles only exist in the mind and everyone can achieve what they want; nothing is impossible. Her future goals include opening her own pharmacy, being independent, having her children go to university to become professionals and achieve their dreams so they will be good and productive people to society. The Kiva loan she is requesting is to pay for one semester of tuition, as she is the head of her household with three children and her expenses are already quite high, without factoring in what she needs for her studies.

More information about this loan
This loan will help a CampoAlto student pay a semester's tuition. With seven branches throughout Bogota, Colombia, CampoAlto tailors educational programs for socially marginalized students. Each of these courses lasts three semesters on average and includes specialized training and internship placement to help students secure jobs after graduation.
This Kiva loan will be used to provide borrowers with needed goods or services, as opposed to cash or financial credit.
CampoAlto is a for-profit education institute that offers a variety of classes to students from socially or economically marginalized groups, including women, ethnic minorities, displaced populations, disabled individuals, and those living below the poverty line. Kiva funding is being used to pay tuition for students who couldn’t otherwise afford to attend classes.
Because CampoAlto’s core business is not purely microfinance, there is some level of additional risk for lenders. For this reason, Kiva has not assigned the institute a risk rating.
