Boajan is very creative with his photography and videography, especially at weddings and other special occasions. At the beginning of his career, he started with a very small amount of equipment and very few customers. Since then, he has been able to expand his business, and he now has 2 different types of good cameras, more tools for enhancing his services, and even an advanced machine.

Boajan is requesting a loan in order to purchase a machine that will allow him make photos instantly at events so he can sell them to people on the spot. He believes that people will be very happy to have the photos immediately and will pay more for this type of service. In the future, he hopes to expand his business and add a marketing department that will produce brochures, leaflets, and other printed media. Roma people and ethnic Serbians have historically faced a tremendous amount of hardship in Kosovo, and are still socioeconomically and politically vulnerable. During the 1998-1999 war, the fighting displaced 250,000 people. Among those displaced were an estimated 80-90% of the region’s Roma population. Today, Roma and ethnic Serbians living in Kosovo still face discrimination and are excluded from many aspects of society, including fair political representation and high rates of unemployment.
