God's Hand Group
In this Group: Beauty, Rubben, Gladys
These members are part of the group called 'God's Hand'. The group is made up of three women, all of whom are married, and who on average are 30 years old and have two children. They live in traditional families in the Dansoman neighborhood in the city of Accra. They know one another through neighborhood, friendship, and business ties.

To strengthen their financial capacity in order to better run their businesses, they joined ID-Ghana, a micro finance institution, with whom they are on their eighth loan. The previous two loans were repaid back properly. This group of women sells wigs, rice and groceries.

Beauty is the wig-selling young lady who will use her loan to buy GHS 3,000 worth of wigs to sell to her customers.

She will buy from the wholesalers in Accra. She makes her sales in a container close to her house.

She plans to make a very big profit from this loan cycle, which will be reinvested in the businesses and used to repay back the loan.

About ID Ghana

This is a Group Loan

In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a larger group of individuals. The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee. In cases where there is a group guarantee, members of the group are responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members in the case of delinquency or default.

Kiva's Field Partners typically feature one borrower from a group. The loan description, sector, and other attributes for a group loan profile are determined by the featured borrower's loan. The other members of the group are not required to use their loans for the same purpose.
