José previously worked only in building but six years ago he decided to start growing coffee, a product which he sells - with the husks still on - to local agents. José has applied for a third loan, this time for 20,000 Lempira, in order to buy fertilisers and support his coffee crops. José's plan is to grow more on another plot of land in order to increase production and improve his quality of life.

This is a group loan for the "Brisas del Higo" group. There are two members. In the photo, José is on the left, wearing a light blue shirt. Delmy, on the right has a dark blue shirt and a hat. Don José, tiene 53 años de edad, esta casado, tiene dos hijos, vive en el municipio de San Nicolás, Santa Bárbara junto a uno de sus hijos. Don José anteriormente solo se dedicaba a la albañilería, pero hace 6 años decidió por dedicarse al cultivo de café, el cual vende en estado pergamino a los intermediarios de la zona. El ha solicitado un tercer ciclo de préstamo que es por 20,000 lempiras, para comprar fertilizantes y dar mejor mantenimiento al cultivo de café. Su propósito es cultivar otra parcela para aumentar la producción y mejorar la calidad de vida.
El préstamo es en forma grupal, el grupo se llama Brisas del Higo, esta formado por dos miembros, en la foto esta don José de camisa azul a la izquierda y don Delmy de camiseta azul con gorra al lado derecho. Ellos solicitan un monto total por 35,000 lempiras para fertilizar su finca de café. los dos viven en la misma comunidad.
