Orng is a 59-year-old married woman and resides with two children in Takeo Province, Cambodia. Orng and her husband (shown with her in the picture) have grown rice and raised animals for more than ten years and earn approximately $6 a day. One of her children is employed and earns about $5 a day. To improve her family’s finances, Orng requests a loan of $1,500 to purchase clothes to resell. By doing so, she would be able to generate more income for the family.
In the future, she would like to purchase a clothes store at the market and help her youngest child to earn a bachelor’s degree.
