She is a dynamic entrepreneur who is 32 years old, a widow and mother to three children, who are all at school. The customer sells clothes (for women and children) and is a member/shareholder of a shop. She lays out her goods in the shop which is in the centre of town. She began her business with the help of her big sister after her husband's death. Later on, she got a loan from IMF Hekima. She has been carrying out this business for four years. This new loan will be used to buy 20 pieces of clothing for women and 30 for children. In the future she would like to increase her loan, and be able to educate and feed her children. Finally, she is extremely thankful to Hekima for rendering autonomous male and female entrepreneurs who do not have access to banks, particularly during this critical time after the conflicts in the east of the country.

La cliente Kamanda est une brave commerçante, vice-présidente et membre d’un collectif d’affaires « La main dans la main », entrepreneur, dynamique, âgée de 32 ans, veuve et mère de 3 enfants qui tous étudient. La cliente est une vendeuse d’habits (femmes et enfants) et sociétaire d’un magasin. Elle installe ses marchandises dans un magasin dans le centre ville. Elle commença ses affaires avec l’assistance de sa grande sœur après la mort de son mari. Plus tard, elle bénéficia le prêt de l’IMF Hekima. Il y a 4 ans qu’elle exerce cette activité. Ce nouveau prêt va la servir d’acheter 20 pièces d’habits femmes et 30 pièces pour enfants. Dans l’avenir, elle souhaite accroitre son crédit, scolariser, et nourrir ses enfants. Au finish, elle remercie fortement Hekima pour l’autonomisation des hommes et femmes entrepreneurs non bancables, surtout; pendant ce moment critique post conflits à l’Est du pays.

HEKIMA is a microfinance institution headquartered in Goma, Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), with branch offices in Goma and Bukavu. HEKIMA aims to contribute to the transformation of the economic, social, and spiritual lives of the economically active poor of the DRC. To this end, HEKIMA provides its clients with solidarity group loans to support income-generating activities. Despite ongoing instability and violence in its operating areas, HEKIMA continues to keep its doors open and provide credit and savings services for its over 90% female clientele.
