Javier es un hombre humilde y trabajador, ha sacado adelante a su familia con el fruto de su arduo trabajo en diferentes actividades. Hace algunos años, ganó una licitación para iniciar una venta de frutas en un pequeño local ubicado dentro de una institución educativa, el oficio lo aprendió de manera empírica y, poco a poco fue adquiriendo experiencia y conocimientos en el manejo del negocio. De esta forma ha logrado generar los recursos suficientes para solventar los gastos del hogar y las necesidades básicas de su esposa y su única hija.
Con el apoyo del crédito, Javier quiere comprar un enfriador y surtido al por mayor (frutas, salsas dulces, helados, entre otros), esto le permitirá mejorar las condiciones de conservación de las frutas y podrá mejorar las ventas e ingresos que recibe como beneficio de su labor.
Javier manifiesta que su propósito es y será siempre velar por el bienestar de su familia, por ello quiere seguir trabajando arduamente y en un futuro a mediano plazo desea ampliar su negocio para que sea más rentable y le permita ofrecer mejor calidad de vida a su familia.

This loan is structured on Kiva as a bullet loan, which means a single payment is required at the end of the loan term. By Colombian law, Kiva's partner Interactuar is required to offer borrowers loans with a variable interest rate that fluctuates with the market rate. Because fixed monthly payments are applied first to interest and then to principal, Interactuar is unable to predict upfront what portion of each repayment would go towards the loan principal. This creates a challenge with Kiva's system, which doesn't allow for unpredictable principal payments, and can result in some Interactuar clients appearing falsely delinquent. To remedy this, the loan has an end-of-term repayment plan on Kiva, but the borrower will continue scheduled monthly repayments to Interactuar, who will then pass along the principal amount to Kiva lenders. This means that you may see repayments made on this loan throughout the repayment term, as opposed to receiving repayment in full at the end of the loan term.
