Luis Eduardo
Luis is a young student of social communication. He is applying for a loan in order to pay for his studies. This is his story:

"Hi. My name is Luis Eduardo. I'm 19 years old and live with my mother, cousin and niece in Romana, in the east of the Dominican Republic. I have no contact with my father. From a young age, it has been my mother who has given me everything. She does not work and only has a small business in the house, where she makes ice cream. With this, she has supported me.

"I decided to study social communication at UTESA in Santo Domingo because I have always liked this subject and I believe that I can give society a lot by bringing it accurate and positive news. However, given that my family does not have enough money to pay for matriculation fees, or even for transport, I need some help.

"I am applying for this loan because my mother has done all that she can for me to start university but I cannot start because I do not have enough money.

"My dream is to complete my studies, graduate and be a great professional. I want to be somebody who brings something positive to the now very influential media. My dream is to be able to help my family to get ahead, especially my mother who, even with limited resources, has got me to where I am today."
