José Ovidio
Because his family had little money and was rather large, 65 year old José was not able to study at school. He has a partner and 3 grown-up children who already have their own families. His wife works on the household chores and also helps him sell seafood (fish).
José has been a fisherman since he was very little as his father (who taught him the work) did the same thing, as did all his family. He does this nearly every day at different times depending on the tide times and the fish. He either works all day or all night and, later, his partner sells the fish to middlemen or individuals. He also grows corn and raises cattle.
He will use the loan to buy a milk cow as this will bring the family better income.
His dream is to finish building his house and to buy a better fishing boat so that he could bring-in more income for his family and buy more livestock.
