While waiting for her husband working abroad, Julieta operates a general store to make a living. She has been doing this business for more than three years, earning a good amount for the family's daily needs. She took a new loan from GDMPC (Gata Daku Multi-Purpose Cooperative) in order to buy additional grocery goods to sell. She wants to expand her business to gain more income for a better future for her family.
Gata Daku Multi-Purpose Cooperative (GDMPC) was founded in 1992 by 32 farmer-members to empower people by providing livelihood opportunities and other support services. Today, it has over 15,000 members located in upland, lowland and coastal regions of the Philippines, and offers credit, savings, education, and various social services.
