Back in 2004, during one of Hilary and Corey’s horse riding sessions, a friend of theirs told them about Equine Assisted Therapy, which is the practice of using horses for emotional growth among mentally and physically disabled individuals. They knew right away that this would be the perfect business for them because it involved the two things they loved most – horses and helping others. This led them to start their business venture- Harnessing Hope.
As successful business partners, who are also a married couple, Hilary and Corey have been providing Equine Assisted therapy, community activities and riding lessons to individuals with disabilities for over nine years in Chicago, which is their hometown. This past year, they moved their business to Georgia so they could provide their services to more individuals in a given year because of the more welcoming weather all year round. They operate out of a beautiful farm with stables, which they are renting.
They are requesting the loan to grow their business and hope to use the money to purchase a used farm truck and to invest in marketing, sales, and upgrading their supplies.
Help this compassionate and animal loving couple to transform many more lives through alternative therapy.
