Linety
Linety is a 30-year-old farmer and a proud mother of 3 children, all of whom are of school-going age. They live in the Kitale area of North Rift Kenya. She has been working in agriculture for 10 years as it is her main source of livelihood, and she produces and sells milk, eggs and a variety of crops. She enjoys poultry farming and selling the poultry products in the market, but her major challenge is poultry diseases.
Linety chose Juhudi Kilimo because she heard that they offer short term loans to farmers and she wanted to add more poultry to her farm. During the training offered, she learnt how to develop a culture of saving. The use of this loan will produce more income which will enable her to pay the school fees for her children and to improve their living standards.
