Kanga is a hardworking and enterprising woman who owns a house that neither has electricity nor piped water. She is a married woman with seven children all of whom are in school.
Kanga operates a goat meat selling business, selling goat meat to her neighbors and passersby. She cites seasonality as her major challenge.
With the KES 30,000 she wants to purchase more goats for her business. She joined Yehu to boast her business.
About Yehu Microfinance Trust
This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
