Prossy is a single mother of one child and her child doesn’t go to school. She doesn’t take care of additional family members.
Prossy has a business, selling boiled eggs. She has applied for a loan of UGX 300,000 (Uganda shillings) from Micro Credit for Development and Transformation SACCO (MCDT SACCO) to buy trays of eggs and charcoal. She sells in markets and also supplies to markets. She sells on a retail basis, seven days out of every week. Her major business challenges include seasonality and thieves.
Prossy aspires to expand her business to nearby markets and to start rearing eggs herself. She resides in a rented house and the family has access to electricity and piped water. Her monthly expenses include rent and medication.
