This "14 de Agosto" loan group has eleven members, all women, who live in the Zhidmad community in the Gualaceo community. This is a beautiful sector because of its geography and the dreamlike landscapes. The area has an excellent climate, just right for growing a great variety of fruits, and has very fertile land. The people here are friendly and kind, and have hands skilled for doing all sorts of artisan work. The members of the loan group are very good friends and share a common goal - to give their children a better quality of life.

One member of this group is 51-year-old María. She is married and has four children. The eldest three are married and live apart. The youngest daughter is attending the local school. The family owns the house where they live. María's husband works as a builder.

María makes a living working in the country. She has cattle, the milk from which she sells. She also raises guinea pigs, lambs and chickens. María grows crops for home consumption and, if there is any left over, to sell. In addition to this, María sells home-made ice cream.

This loan will buy used to buy manure, to improver her pastures, guinea pigs, chickens and animal feeds. María's goal is to have more cattle, and of a higher quality.

El grupo de crédito 14 de Agosto está formado por 11 mujeres quienes viven por la comunidad de Zhidmad en el cantón de Gualaceo, este sector es hermoso por su geografía accidentada la que brinda paisajes de ensueños, tiene un clima privilegiado ya que es templado apropiado para la cosecha de una gran variedad de frutas, siendo sus tierras muy fértiles. Su gente está formada por personas amables, gentiles, que tienen manos hábiles para realizar cualquier tipo de artesanías, las socias son mujeres muy amigas que tienen un objetivo en común el cual es que sus hijos tengan una mejor calidad de vida.
Una de las socias de este grupo es la Señora. María, tiene 51 años de edad, está casada y fruto de su unión conyugal ha concebido 4 hijos, sus tres primeros hijos son casados y viven independientes, su hija soltera está estudiando en un colegio del sector, la casa en la que vive es propia, su esposo labora en el área de la construcción como albañil.
Doña María se dedica a las tareas del campo, tiene ganado del cual vende la leche, cría cuyes, borregos y pollos. Cultiva su terreno y lo que cosecha es para el consumo de su hogar y si existe un sobrante lo vende, también se dedica a la venta de helados que ella mismo elabora.
El dinero de su crédito es para la compra de abono para mejorar sus potreros, cuyes, pollos y alimento para animales. Su meta es tener más ganado de mejor calidad
