Young José is 21 years old, single and lives in the city of Cochabamba. He completed primary school but could not continue his education due to a lack of money, José is, however, very enterprising and is financially independent from his parents. He has worked as a builder's assistant since he was 18 years old. As he does not have many savings, José is applying for this loan in order to buy building tools and equipment, such as saws, a mixer and a knife grinder. With these tools he can then work as a private builder and will be able to increase his income, cover all his costs and improve his quality of life.
El Joven José de 21 años de edad es de estado civil soltero, tiene una instrucción de nivel primaria y no pudo continuar con sus estudios por falta de recursos economicos, pero es muy emprendedor, actualmente vive en la ciudad de Cochabamba. Económicamente es independiente de sus padres, trabajo desde los 18 años como ayudante albañil. Como no tiene muchos ahorros, solicita un crédito para comprar herramientas y equipos de construcción como mezcladora, amoladora y sierras, de esta forma lograra trabajar de manera independiente como albañil constructor y podrá mejorar sus ingresos económicos para cubrir todos sus gastos y mejorar su nivel de vida.
CIDRE is a Bolivian microfinance institution with a strong social commitment to the community. It works to provide quality financial services to rural and peri-urban borrowers, focusing primarily on agricultural loans for dairy farmers and micro-enterprises. CIDRE targets segments of the population that have not traditionally had access to credit, and invests in much-needed community development projects.
