The group TIMINADYA is composed of four women, all married, who average 41 years of age and four children each. The women lives in traditional extended families in the DOUGOUNINA district of Bougouni City. They know one another through ties of community, friendship, and commerce. To bolster their financial capacity, so as to have better businesses, they joined the microfinance institution Soro Yiriwaso and are now on their third loan. The two previous ones were correctly repaid.

This group of women does commerce in incenses, just like DJENEBA, who is the second women standing from the right in the photo. With her loan, she intends to purchase diverse qualities of perfumes and more ingredients from Bougouni wholesalers for making incense. Accepting cash or credit from a mixed customer base, she makes her sales retail at the market and at home. She envisions making an average monthly profit of 45,000 francs CFA that will be invested in her business and used to pay back the loan.

Le groupe TIMINADYA est constitué de 4 femmes toutes mariées ayant une moyenne d’âge de 41 ans et 4 enfants. Elles vivent dans des familles traditionnelles élargies dans le quartier DOUGOUNINA de la ville de Bougouni.
Elles se sont connues à travers des liens de voisinage, d’amitié et de commerce. Pour renforcer leur capacité financière afin de mieux faire leur commerce, elles ont adhéré à l’institution de microfinance Soro Yiriwaso avec laquelle elles sont à leur 3me prêt. Les 2 précédents prêts ont été correctement remboursés. Ce groupe de femmes fait le commerce d’encens
à l’image de DJENEBA qui est la 2eme femme debout de la droite vers la gauche dans la photo. Elle compte acheter avec son prêt,diverses qualités de parfums et autres ingrédients avec les grossistes de Bougouni pour la préparation de l’encens. Elle effectue ses ventes au marché et à domicile, en détail au comptant et à crédit à une clientèle mixte .
Elle envisage réaliser un bénéfice mensuel moyen de 45.000FCFA qui sera investi dans les activités et rembourser le prêt.

Soro Yiriwaso is a microfinance institution that works primarily in rural and semi-urban areas of Mali to provide underprivileged communities with access to financial services.The organization facilitates access for disadvantaged clients, particularly women, to new resources and services, fostering solidarity and cooperation among its clients. Kiva lenders’ funds will enable Soro Yiriwaso to expand its outreach and target even more underserved Malians involved in business and agriculture.
