Amalya is from Margara village of Armavir region. She is a mother of two school-age children and lives with them alone.

Amalya is a teacher with many years experience of teaching at a local school. In order to tackle financial hardships, she has been also running a farm. The farm includes a pig, chickens and also crops of wheat, tomato and grass. Amalya works hard to sustain her children's living and feels very responsible for providing them appropriate living conditions.

She has taken a loan from local financial institutions before but unfortunately wasn't able to pay it back on time. However, thanks to her hard and tireless work, she was able to become financially stable ensuring that she will be able to cover the monthly payments. Amalya now has applied for this loan and has been approved for a loan within the framework of a new joint initiative between Kiva and SEF international. The second-chance loan program provides loans to people who have a bad credit history and have no access to credit products. The loan will help her to pay for the renovation of the greenhouse as well as for fertilizer and wheat seeds. She hopes for lenders' support and would be very thankful to them for the loan.
