Mai is 37 years old. She is married and resides with three children in Takeo Province, Cambodia. She has been selling vegetables and pork for more than ten years, earning approximately $8 per day. Her husband is a construction worker who makes an income of $7 each day. To improve her family’s finances, Mai asks for a loan of $700 to purchase cattle to breed and resell when they gain weight. By doing so, she would be able to generate more income to financially support the family. In the future, she would like to expand her business and help her children earn bachelor’s degrees. Moreover, she wants to build a new house if possible.
